1. What cookies are, and why we use them

A cookie is a small file a website leaves on your device so it can recognise your browser next time it sees it. It cannot run programs, read your other files, or get at anything else on your computer. All it does is store a small piece of information and hand it back when asked.

We use cookies on snagkeyz.com to keep you signed in, hold your basket together between pages, protect checkout, remember what you have chosen, and - with your agreement - understand how the Store is being used so we can make it work better.

This notice sits alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains everything else we do with information about you.

2. The cookies we use

Strictly necessary. These make the Store work at all. They keep you signed in, hold your basket, carry you safely through checkout, and help us spot abuse. Without them you would be signed out between pages and could not complete an order. They are set automatically, because there is no Store without them. You can block them in your browser, but most of the Store will stop working if you do.

Preference. These remember the small choices you make - the currency you prefer, a notice you dismissed, how you like a page laid out - so you do not have to set them again. Turn them off and the Store still works; it just forgets what you told it last time.

Analytics. These tell us which pages people visit, how long they stay, where they give up, and what broke. Mostly it reaches us as totals rather than anything about you individually. We use it to fix faults and make the Store faster and easier to use. These only run if you agree.

Marketing. These measure whether our advertising works - whether a visit came from a particular campaign, and whether it led anywhere - and help us avoid showing you the same ad repeatedly. Some are set by advertising partners, who may combine what they see here with what they see elsewhere. These only run if you agree. Declining them changes nothing about what you can buy or what it costs, and we do not sell your personal data through cookies to anyone.

3. Cookies set by other companies

Some of what runs on the Store comes from companies we work with: analytics, payment fraud screening, and advertising measurement. These set their own cookies and handle what they collect under their own privacy and cookie policies, which we do not control.

Where they work for us under contract, they are bound by it. Where they are advertising partners, their cookies only load after you have agreed to marketing cookies.

If you are enabling marketing cookies, it is worth reading the notices of the companies involved as well as ours.

4. Choosing what runs

When you first arrive, a banner asks what you want to allow. You can accept everything, refuse everything that is not strictly necessary, or pick category by category. Your choice is remembered, and you can change it whenever you like through the cookie settings on the Store.

Changing your mind takes effect going forward - it does not undo what happened while your earlier choice was in place.

Your browser gives you a second set of controls, independent of ours. Every modern browser lets you see which cookies are stored, delete them, block them entirely, block only third party ones, or clear them each time you close the window. Your browser's help pages explain how.

To start over completely: clear the cookies for snagkeyz.com in your browser and reload the Store. The banner will appear again as if you had never been here.

5. Changes, and how to reach us

We update this notice when the cookies we use change, or when the law does. The date at the top shows when we last did, and the current version is always the one published here. If a change means we need to ask your permission again, the banner will come back.
